admin Think about this: here we have a government that has the POWER to bail out banks, buy auto companies, fire CEO’s, give themselves raises, trying to raises taxes on our energy bills (cap & trade bs),
BUT they CAN’T get cozy with these health care insurance companies and doctors and try and come up with a plan that can be affordable or more reasonable for all Americans.
This is crazy. Our government gets cozy with GE and all these companies that give our government campaign funding and we can’t get cozy with insurance companies to make plans better or with more variety base on someones income,etc.
So this seems like such a JOKE, when our government says they want to compete with health care insurance companies to lower the cost. They must think we are really stupid.

The joke is OUR GOVERNMENT doesn’t need to compete with private insurance companies, because I bet there’s a way to give these companies grants to BRIBE them into make plans better.

The nasty part is that their competing plan will compete with taxpayer subsidies, not by being better.
Sure, it’s easy to knock the premiums down when we taxpayers are on the hook for the rest of it.
It is the only way they can run them out of business. The current plan would all but destroy health insurance companies within five years. They have to make profits and competing against a govt that just prints more money is not going to work
Well, insurance companies keep 25% of our health care dollar- don’t even ask how much the drug companies keep (but at least they are useful and don’t deny anyone with the money) even though they charge Americans the highest prices for drugs that are produced here. What’s wrong with this picture? ‘Hello government, welcome…’ With nearly the lowest life expectancy/infant mortality in the developed world how can this continue? Why it isn’t even considered as even being mildly anti-christian, for the sake of argument? Basically its’ pretty easy to debate any opposition into the deep, dark earth on this subject- why even persist? Should government merely make war? Perhaps this is why they find it necessary to stifle any debate.
to me, the individuals expressing their hate towards health-care reform seem rather uneducated for example; as i was viewing town-hall meetings on CS-PAN a man who is on both MEDICAID and WELFARE states,”I DON’T WANT TO GIVE MY TAX PAYER DOLLARS TO OTHER PEOPLE”
or
“OBAMA NEEDS TO BECOME AN AMERICAN”
or
“YOU CONGRESSMAN ARE NOT AN AMERICAN”
what is with these people?
america is different. we are becoming less and less educated by the day. Standards are stooping so low, i no longer feel pride for this country. Why can’t people understand that Obama is trying to HELP you. Obama is trying to express democracy through the town-hall meetings so that people can be educated about what Health Care reform truly is. Bush has passed many bills and never has he led a town-hall meeting.
I feel that people are completely biased against the obama administration just because he is black.
WAKE UP PEOPLE, WE NEED HEALTH-CARE REFORM IF WE ARE EVER GOING TO GET AMERICA BACK ON TRACK!
I am an average american citizen who is a medical student at OSU, my mother and I who is a critical care nurse and has seen the failures of healthcare believes it is time for health care reform.
*she has had to turn away sick americans who were treatable but did not have insurance or citizenship so now they are destined to die…how is that right?
*The elderly are given treatments that don’t even HELP them…i experienced this from my grandfather. He was given FOUR useless operations untill doctors were able to figure out that my grandfather had a brain tumor.
*we need healthcare that is regulated so that we can have greated quality.
*you may think that your healthcare is great, but you don’t know what it will do once you’re seriously in trouble.
Ya know what I think is a joke? There’s a pattern in conservative trash talking. You see they completely shout any word that the crowd would find scandalous such as government, joke, ceo’s, bribe, and power. The reason for this is because of the utter stupidity of the people they preach this too, see the only things people like you see or hear are things that support your arguments, and or beliefs. However, on the web you can’t shout. So you just capitalize all of the words so they can skim over your little argument there and see those words, and blindly agree. How convenient you make their deciding.
Hey, pick up an economics book,a history book and study. Ever hear of competition? It’s a tenet of Capitolism. Healthy competition keeps Capitolism healthy, keeps prices down. Duh! MEDICARE AND VETS MEDS ARE GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTHCARE. IT WORKS. Honestly, I do think you are really stupid, sorry but you said it first. I really pity those filthy rich Insurance companies that control everyone’s life. Poor babies, they might have to lower their prices and stop underinsuring everyone. Or denying them coverage for pre-existing conditions. 47 million Americans are not insured..don’t you care at all? Perhaps you work for an Insurance company?
If a business was running a debt like the Feds are running
they would get life in prison. The government is here to protect us
not to start Federal programs to run peoples lives.Do some
people trust Barney Frank, Chris Dodd , Pelosi or Boxer to
run a business?
